Our signature hojicha is a true description of comfort in a cup and the balance you are seeking for, made from autumn thick mature leaves, which have grown without pests in the mountains of Kawane in Shizuoka region, gently taken care of by our passionate young farmer Susumu.
Susumu creates the tea roasting master sample himself using a ceramic pan or small roasting machine. Based on this, the roastery crafts the final batch.
Autumn leaves are more fibrous, so they resist burning and allow us to draw out both sweetness and a deep roasted aroma. Since they have lower umami, their fragrance is enhanced through roasting.

Recommended use:
We recommend to use hojicha powder for hojicha lattes, mixing with oat or dairy milk. But we encourage you to stay playful and experiment with recipes.
