About OMMA Organic Signature Hojicha

Our Hōjicha is made from autumn-harvested sencha leaves grown by a young, passionate farmer in Makinohara, Shizuoka. These mature leaves are thicker than spring harvests, making them perfect for slow roasting. This method gently draws out deep aromas of caramel and dark chocolate without burning the leaf.

Traditionally stone-milled like matcha, the result is a smooth, earthy powder with notes of roasted nuts, chocolate, warm wood, and a touch of sweetness.
